We’ll be departing from Cape Town to Grenada about a year from now. Based on what I’ve been told, the best thing to do is to get an insurance policy for the 4700-mile passage to Grenada and then a policy that covers the next year’s cruising grounds.
How have other people who have made this type of passage handled this?
We did Singen Green in South Africa that insured is from Knysna to the US coast. Once you hit land, the insurance policy is null and voided. I think it was $3K and did not have a strict time limit nor crew size limit as others do. Malcolm would know how you can contact him.

Singeon Green
Does anyone have an email address for Singeon Green?
I contacted Singeon and got a copy of the application. Did you really have to provide separate values for the Sails, Masts, Spars, and Rigging? If so, did Grant provide these details?
