TakeALot.com is a South African online shopping system, similar to Amazon. Technically, you need a South African phone number to get your account activated, but we found that you can write to their tech support and explain that you have a non-ZA phone number, and they’ll activate your account. However, we have not been able to get them to activate our 1-day shipping account.
Ordering online is very simple with their app or their website. Their search feature sucks, as it returns lots of items that have nothing to do with what you’re searching for. Orders typically take less than a week to arrive.
They have drop-off locations around Knysna, and one is very close to the waterfront, on the road leading to Thessen island. Returns are also very simple, as you just bring your items to drop-off location and they scan your return QR code ans ship the items back.
