While changing my mixer elbows, I noticed water flow out of the exhaust. Upon further investigation and chatting with Vetus and other Knysna owners, we determined it was not installed correctly. The anti siphon is the same height as the mixer elbow and the exhaust leaving the mixer elbow is angled up (see sketch in pic below).
I have attached pictures from Ian on Tourterelles from his 2020 which is installed properly. Worth checking if you have an older model.
