Hello all. I’m new to the forum. I am considering purchasing a 2016 500SE. Previously owned a 2012 Lagoon 421. No a good experience. Pertaining to the aforementioned: I’m curious as to the davits that are, I assume, standard for the 500s. Specifically, I wonder if the high-load points where the davits attach to the underside of the transom are a fatigue point that is prone to failure. While I could see that there is evidence of rust on those two points, the port side more so than the other, is this an area of eventual concern? There is an allen cap screw (approx. 3.5mm) that appears to act as a drain plug at the low point of the diagonal and vertical arms that serve as the two main supports of the dingy’s weight. Do I have misplaced concern?
